Now, the responsibility of leading the Test side could fall on young shoulders. According to several cricket experts, Shubman Gill is the frontrunner to become India’s next Test captain. He has shown promise and maturity beyond his years, and this tour might be his biggest test yet.
As for the playing XI, don’t expect major surprises. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are likely to open, though KL Rahul could also be in the mix if the team opts for experience at the top.
