Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) witnessed an electrifying start in IPL 2025 as their top-order batters went all guns blazing in the powerplay. The dynamic trio of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and the newly acquired Ishan Kishan put on a batting masterclass, making full use of the fielding restrictions.
Abhishek Sharma started aggressively, taking on the bowlers with his fearless strokeplay. However, his fiery cameo came to an end at 24 runs, giving the opposition a brief sigh of relief. But there was no stopping Travis Head. The Australian opener went on a rampage, smashing the bowlers all over the park. His fearless hitting saw him race to a half-century in record time, setting the highest powerplay score of IPL 2025.
With Ishan Kishan joining the party, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting firepower looked more dangerous than ever. The team’s aggressive intent in the powerplay not only put pressure on the opposition but also showcased SRH’s new approach—dominating from ball one.
Travis Head’s blistering innings reaffirmed his status as one of the most destructive batters in T20 cricket, making this knock one of the standout performances of the season.
By the end of power play , SRH had 94 runs on the board, sending a strong message to the rest of the league. Their aggressive intent and fearless batting approach proved that they are here to dominate IPL 2025 from the very start.
